Can you provide me with one reason why the Mormon Church is false?

I couldn't help but notice that so many seek ';evidence.';

Would evidence seekers be the same as sign seekers?

Matt 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

Luke 11: 16, 29-30

16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.

• • •

29 ¶ And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. Can you provide me with one reason why the Mormon Church is false?
as a mormon for 36 years I went thru persecution and could not find any rest in the mormon God as a matter of fact, I felt the mormon God was railroading me over to and persecuting me and I was very suicidal whether my persecution came from within the churhc or outside the church.

As a christian, whether the persecution comes from within or outside the church, I can find comfort, I find it easier to forgive people, and I don;t feel suicidal anymore or that the christian God hates me or that he is a million miles away and could care less about me, I don;t feela s thought everyoen is after me and out to kill me, I feel that even if everything look bleak, God will work all things out for my good anyways. BIG DIFF.Can you provide me with one reason why the Mormon Church is false?
They have made prophecies which have proven to be false.

They have fulfilled God's warning about being duped into ';another gospel'; other than the one Paul taught. (Galatians 1:6-9)

They have added to sacred scripture.

They deny some of the mainstream doctrines of the Christian Church.
I could give you many, but the biggest reason is they and all other religions do not know the truth of God. It should be obvious to everyone that no religion knows God's truth or we would not be in the mes we are in..God has provided His truth to all by answering the questions of Neale Donald Walsch in the Conversations with God books.. Available at your library..When we finally stop ignoring God, we will be able to change our world. .It is no accident that you have received this answer. If you really want to change our world, you will read these books..Do not continue to ignore God... God bless.
Absolutely no evidence of the BoM's claims. Sure there is evidence that it could potentially be right about a few things, but nothing to indicate that any of its civilizations ever existed in the Americas. Then there is the nagging problem of the disappearing tablets and other artifacts. But what really makes one wonder is the complete rip off of Masonic symbolism. I could understand the beehive being coincidental, but that with the symbols on the undergarments and the aprons, is way too much to ignore.

Edit:

This is not to mention that it is built off of religions that are completely lacking in evidence for their claims.
What's the point? Are you willing to entertain the possibility of it being untrue? Not to burst your bubble, but when you're honestly ready to deal with that possibility you may even find that it's ... obvious, Rosskopf's link notwithstanding.

If you're truly at that stage where you've decided you want to know the truth at all costs, the easiest topic to start with is probably the Book of Abraham.
Nope. And no one else can either. At least not a valid reason. Each and every one of the accusations against the LDS church found in response to your question have been refuted. The following website does a great job of addressing each of these issues.

nope

(and I make Banana Pancakes for my wife every Saturday;)

*and no, we dont think black people are evil, My current bishop is black.

-Please dont be ignorant if you chose to share opinions

**and to be clear, We do NOT believe in the Trinity(and I would love to have anyone really try to explain that concept anyway, no one this far has to me), we DO believe in Jesus, (you know, from the bible) and DO believe that God is still alive today and still communicates and cares about us today. Im not sure how any Christian wouldnt believe that

***Jeremiah, you mean well Im sure, but are mistaken. If you read the whole bible you see that same phrase earlier(check Deut). Also, revelations was not the last book added to the bible, so are you discrediting peter, john and all others that were added together when the Bible was compiled? You just misunderstand the Bible, and im sure have not read the Book of Mormon. Sorry, thats just a weak argument
The book of Galatians teaches clearly that anyone who teaches ay other gospel is accursed. That gospel is clearly defined in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ according to the scriptures.

Lets think about it....

I just don't know how so many people can be part of something that is based on something so ridiculous. I mean if GOD came to Joseph Smith saying that the churches were corrupt, then why didn't he tell him to try to fix the churches instead of just making a new one. If GOD would have truly came to Joseph then he would have had a plan for the masses and not just the select few that believed in Joseph's preposterous story.

THE LDS church has a habit of hiding teachings and beliefs, TOPICS like Polygamy in the CK and the translation with a rock in a hat! I was never told anything about those TOPICS! I had to Research them myself!

I was on the verge of getting baptized and in a LDS class, and for the first time in over a year and half they were talking about Godhood. The missionaries never brought that up with me. They made the LDS appear to be like any non-denominational church and christian like..

WHY would the Earth's only true church need so many Apologetics?? They have the most...

the Bible has a beginning of all things (creation/Genesis), the end of all things (the final judgment %26amp; heaven/Revelation), and everything in between (all the books of the Bible together)...

2 Samuel 22:31 ';As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him.

Psalm 12:6 And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.

Proverbs 30:5 ';Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)

12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Galatians 1:8-9 (NIV)

8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

so in answer to your question...

Why would God add to something that is already complete?

Why would there ever be a need for another book or testimony?

Jesus' life, death, blood, and resurrection ARE HIS TESTIMONY.

There is no need for another

This Moroni (Satan) is under the category of Galatians 1:8-9 (above)
The book of Mormon is a palpable fiction from beginning to end. There is no evidence whatsoever for any of its claims about life in the Americas before the arrival of European explorers.
It says in Rev 22 that nothing is to be added or subtracted from God's Word.

They claim it was just referring to that particular book, so by that logic they can rewrite the whole rest of Bible if they wanted to.
I really don't care to. Where I live there are a lot of Mormons. They are good people and mean well. Ask me about a person who is a Mormon and not about a religion called Mormonism.

They do not believe in the trinity. The ones I talk to do believe in Jesus, just not that He is God in the flesh.
I could provide you with many, but let's start with there being no concrete evidence that the Book of Mormon is what it claims to be.
How about in the New Testament where it says that even if you should receive another important book EVEN from an ANGEL of Light you should not believe in it.
They have another Jesus and another gospel

They do not believe in Trinity.
I am sorry but I can't for i know for a fact that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true.
Besides the fact the Joey Boy was insane? Nope.
Nope. You can't prove something false when it is true!
Joseph Smith asserted that the golden plates were translated ';by the power of God'; and produced ';the most correct of any book on earth.'; And Joseph F. Smith, by the way, the sixth president of the Mormon church, went so far as to say that the words were not only correct but that ';every letter was given to [Joseph Smith] by the gift and power of God.'; But the reality is this: the Book of Mormon has had to be corrected thousands of times to compensate for Smith's poor grammar and spelling. The Book of Mormon is fraught with all kinds of other errors as well. For example, ';Benjamin'; was changed to ';Mosiah'; after Mormon leaders finally realized that in the chronology of the Book of Mormon King Benjamin had already died so he would have been hard pressed to ';interpret'; the engravings mentioned in Mosiah 21:28. Perhaps the greatest crack in the credibility of the Book of Mormon is that whole sections were derived directly from the King James Version of the Bible and that despite the fact that according to Mormon chronology, the Book of Mormon predates the King James Version by more than a thousand years.

Little wonder that Mormons accept the Book of Mormon based on an esoteric feeling, on a ';burning in the bosom'; rather than on history and evidence. Whenever I think of Mormonism my mind goes back to the words of the Apostle Paul in Galatians 1 where he says:

';I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Jesus Christ.';
I can,

The Mormon religion was founded less than two hundred years ago by a man named Joseph Smith. He claimed to have received a personal visit from God the Father and Jesus Christ, and was told that all churches and their creeds were an abomination. Joseph set out to impose a brand-new religion that claims to be the “only true church on earth.” The problem with Mormonism is that it contradicts, modifies, and expands on the Bible. Christians have no reason to believe that the Bible is not true and adequate. To truly believe in and trust God means to believe in His Word. And all Scripture is inspired by God, which means it comes from Him (2 Timothy 3:16).

Mormons believe that there are in fact four sources of divinely inspired words, instead of just one. 1) The Bible “as far as it is translated correctly.” Which verses are incorrectly translated are not always made clear 2) The Book of Mormon was “translated” by Smith and published in 1830. Smith claimed it is the “most correct book” on earth, and that a person could get closer to God by following its precepts, “than by any other book.” 3) The Doctrine and Covenants are considered scripture by Mormons, containing a collection of modern revelations regarding the “Church of Jesus Christ as it has been restored.” 4) The Pearl of the Great Price is considered by Mormons to “clarify” doctrines and teachings that were lost from the Bible and adds its own information about the earth's creation.

Mormons believe these things about God: that He has not always been the Supreme Being of the universe, but attained that status through righteous living and persistent effort. They believe God the Father has a “body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s.” Though abandoned by modern Mormon leaders, Brigham Young taught that Adam actually was God and the father of Jesus Christ. Christians know this about God: there is only One true God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10, 44:6-8), that He always has and always will exist (Deuteronomy 33:27, Psalm 90:2, 1 Timothy 1:17), and that He was not created, but is the Creator (Genesis chapter1, Psalm 24:1, Isaiah 37:16). He is perfect and no one else is equal to Him (Psalm 86:8, Isaiah 40:25). God the Father is not a man, nor was He ever (Numbers 23:19, 1 Samuel 15:29, Hosea 11:9). He is Spirit (John 4:24), and Spirit is not made of flesh and bone (Luke 24:39).

Mormons believe that there are different levels or kingdoms in the afterlife: The Celestial Kingdom, the Terrestrial Kingdom, the Telestial Kingdom and outer darkness. Where mankind will end up depends on what they believe and do in this mortal life. The Bible tells us that after death, we go to Heaven or Hell based on whether we had faith in Jesus or not. To be absent from our bodies as believers means we are with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:6-8). Unbelievers are sent to Hell, or the place of the dead (Luke 16:22-23). When Jesus comes for the second time, we will receive new bodies (1 Corinthians 15:50-54). There will be a New Heaven and New Earth for believers (Revelation 21:1), and unbelievers will be thrown into an everlasting lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15). There is no second chance for redemption after death (Hebrews 9:27).

Mormon leaders have taught that Jesus’ incarnation was the result of a physical relationship between God the Father and Mary. They believe Jesus is a God, but that any human can also become a god. Christians historically have taught that God is Triune and that He exists eternally as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). No one can achieve the status of God, only He is holy (1 Samuel 2:2). We can only be made holy in God's sight through faith in Him (1 Corinthians 1:2). Jesus is the only begotten Son of God (John 3:16) and is the only one ever to have lived a sinless, blameless life, who now has the highest place of honor in Heaven (Hebrews 7:26). Jesus and God are one in essence, Jesus being the only One existing before physical birth (John 1:1-8, 8:56). Jesus gave Himself to us as a sacrifice, and God raised Him from the dead, and one day everyone will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:6-11). Jesus tells us it

is

impossible to get to Heaven by our own works, only with faith in Him is it possible (Matthew 19:26). And many will not choose Him. “You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose the easy way” (Matthew 7:13). We all deserve eternal punishment for our sins, but God's infinite love and grace has allowed us a way out. “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

Clearly there is only one way to receive salvation; to know God and His Son, Jesus (John 17:3). It is not done by works, but by faith (Romans 1:17, 3:28). When we have this faith, we will automatically be obedient to God's laws and become baptized out of love for Him, but not because it is a requirement for salvation. We can receive this gift no matter who we are or what we have done (Romans 3:22). “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Although Mormons are usually friendly, loving, and kind people - they are involved in a false religion that distorts the nature of God, the Person of Jesus Christ, and the means of salvation. The very definition of Mormonism is, '; the spirit of anti-christ .';

Easily. Perhaps the biggest reason they are false is because of a different God.
They are based on the Bible.
They belive black people are the followers of Lucifur.

would God hate us because of our skin tone?.. i don't think so!
