Have anyone experienced false negative urine test results?

i am 16 days overdue. I went to doctor and took urine test. but my result was negative. is there ant chances of getting postive results later? have anyone experienced such kind of issues?Have anyone experienced false negative urine test results?
Normally if your 16 days late that is DEFINATLEY enough time to detect HCG in your urine. Could be stress that's causing your late period.Have anyone experienced false negative urine test results?
not liely..but i have heard it happening...i heard a lady say she once was pregnant for 2 months before it picked up anyting
some people say that their pregnancy went unnoticed for 2 or 3 months. it can happen!

just treat yourself as if you were, no alcohol or smoking and take folic acid just in case.

good luck..and do a blood test, and others suggested. that might give you a better sight.
I havent personally experienced it but it is very possible that the test is not accurate. Urine tests have so many factors that can alter accurate results. I would wait a few more days and take a home pregnancy test in the morning, use first morning pee. This will give you the most accurate result.
Pregnancy tests are dependant on the amout of HcG (the pregnancy hormone) in your system. First of all, what time of day did you take the test? Home pregnancy tests are best taken in the morning when your urine is more concentrated. Secondly if you have been drinking a lot of fluids then your urine is diluted and the hormone may not sure up strongly enough to register as positive. Try the test first thing in the morning and lay of the drinks the day before. After you take the test again, if it is still negative, call your doctor and tell him that you are late on your period and curious as to why. There may be a problem that is not pregnancy related.
It happened to me! I took an at-home test that came back positive but the doc's test came back negative. They acted like I was lying or crazy. I demanded a blood test. Then they felt bad when it came back positive! I always recommend First Response brand tests for at-home use. And then get a blood test at your doctor.
It's unusual..but it's happened. I'm a member of a child loss site.. many of the women on there have gone through the same thing. A blood draw is your most effective way.
