NotEckyBoy is correct. Americans for the most part distrust government officials and their motives. The bottom line is that we have to go to the polls and pick our poison so to speak. We are usually hopeful that the people we elect will do what's in the best interest of our nation, but we are not naive sheep as people around the world love to believe. Is this true or false, americans tend to accept the use of power by government?

America believes in true freedom and liberty and does not allow the government to force itself down the people throat
I would say false, America is a republic and they are HIGHLY sceptical of 'big government'; and all that it stands for.
