The ';sightings '; have helped the Mccanns because it has put the abduction theory firmly back in place and the McCanns are nicely sitting back and watching the charade unfold day by day.This pair are also hell bent on ridiculing the ';incompetent PJ'; (when in fact they did investigate all previous sightings) and are throwing money at their detectives ,,,Meturdo 3 ,,,who of course can do a much better job at following up these leads. The fact is, one of these detectives is under investigation for tax evasion, drug trafficking, and possible murder ..... Nice company the McCanns keep.!!!

That bunch they call the Portuguese Police could not be helped even if Maddy turned up at the station. Were they helped by the forensic results? Even when the experts carrying out the tests warned them of the ambiguity and uncertainty of the findings, they did not listen. They were their worst enemies. Sightings, however unlikely, need to be investigated %26amp; can only help an investigation. A big part of the investigation procedure is to...um...investigate sightings, right?

Surely, to even the most pessimistic, there can be a chance that shes alive %26amp; desperately needing to be found?
What investigation by the police. They wound down the case weeks ago but did very little even before that. Sightings were put on file but nothing was ever done about it. Can anyone believe that the police allowed 11 people to stay at the McCanns ex apartment before calling in the sniffer dogs. No wonder Maddie is still missing.
I think that the sightings have probably got the hopes up of the parents and police investigating the matter and after getting excited because it might have been maddie and later on finding out it wasn't would make them think even more that they are never going to find them.
The old ones do not seem to have diverted the Portuguese Police from harassing the McCanns in the slightest. Their investigative technique seemed to revolve around pinning the blame on the nearest available people - her parents.


I do hope that we can resolve this issues asap.
They did neither for the pj - they went along one track with their blinkers on and looks like they got it wrong.


These sightings might well not be her, but the poor child hasn't been found dead, so what if one of them was or is her?

The best thing to do for all concerned would be to wire everyone to a lie detector and get them to swallow truth serums.





Until then I doubt we will ever find out the truth.
