';The larger the core diameter of the fiber, the greater the bandwidth.'; Is this statemetn true or false? Why?

Give reasons to explain.';The larger the core diameter of the fiber, the greater the bandwidth.'; Is this statemetn true or false? Why?
False. Spectral bandwidth has nothing to do with core diameter. However, larger core diameters allow multiple modes (bouncing off the walls at different angles). This causes time-dispersion in the arriving signal, which reduces the bit-rate, which reduces - not increases - the signal bandwidth.';The larger the core diameter of the fiber, the greater the bandwidth.'; Is this statemetn true or false? Why?
false the smaller the diameter the faster the fiber the light has less distance to travel in the smaller fiber
